Ben Foster sticks out as a backup

Wouldn't last 5 minutes at Goodison as he said we were all too scary and it affected the players negatively.

Might be able to use him for away matches though.

We keep sacking and hiring the same fella, over and over again.

The defending hasn't been that good either.

It's not been great but whether it's down to luck or bad finishing we've currently only conceded 6 goals. Only Wolves, Spurs and Brighton have conceded fewer goals.

So yes, the defending hasn't been amazing, but I've run the numbers and Pickford is at 2.6 goals prevented so far this season, which is the best in the league. However, before the derby he was 1.1, which was the 5th best, showing how much one game can skew stats either way when it comes to xGA etc.

Scoring goals is our main issue.

That’s Mike Walker levels of season starts , any wins before the World Cup?

I think we'll win games before the World Cup, yes. I also think we're playing okay.

However, we have Arsenal away next up, which would be difficult with or without Pickford, and then West Ham home before the international break. That's 8 games, and then 9 is S'ton away and 10 is Man Utd home.

I think we're capable of winning all 4, but probably capable of losing all 4 too. It's just where we're at.

I dont know what you expected from me Mike.

I did think we have revamped it numerous times over the years tho.
