Where are these 10-15m keepers? You don't see how replacing Pickford for 10 to 15m and having the rest to sign an attacker might help us?

This is, as is par for us, horrendous business once again. 30m is great value for a keeper, maybe push for 40m since he's freshly signed, but ultimately you have to build a squad and managing your resources is everything.
Absolutely! So where is this cheap keeper who is equally as good as England’s number one and our multiple time player of the season winner? You don't see how replacing Pickford for 10 to 15m and having the rest to sign an attacker might help us?
Yeah this is probably a summer problem.Whether its bad business, I am not so sure. But anyrate, there isnt, to my knowledge, a monied club who need a new top keeper this Jan. None of us know the accounts, and transfer budget, (probably for the best), but I would prefer we secured his services, rather than lose him for peanuts/nothing.
Plenty of gems to be found as always. We have to actually do the scouting but they exist. The best example right now is Bournemouth pulling Neto off the Barca bench on a free and having him play solidly for them.Absolutely! I’m not expert so here are some google facts and an assumption:Plenty of gems to be found as always. We have to actually do the scouting but they exist. The best example right now is Bournemouth pulling Neto off the Barca bench on a free and having him play solidly for them.
Pickford has been great this year so you might have to accept a small step back but I'd gladly do that if it meant we can genuinely improve other areas.
Fun fact because I'm bored and just messing around on this stats site: Neto has the highest completion % of passes over 40 yards of any keeper this season.I’m not expert so here are some google facts and an assumption:
Neto is 33 and has a 4% worse save percentage and I bet he doesn’t start counter attacks as well as Pickford either.
Your second point is fair though but I don’t think we have to compromise when we could sell other players and reinforce without selling our literal best player.
Also Pickford has the lowest percentage of crosses stopped by the keeper in the league. Not sure that really means anything about his quality I just find it interesting.
It could be part of it. I was looking at prior years and what is interesting there is Pickford is about the same percentage but the rest of the league is claiming way more on average than in the past.He has 2 effective centre half's in front of him?
AreolaIt's a no brainer if we receive a big bid for Pickford, as much as he has been excellent for us in the last 18 months, he isn't the most calmest influence for a keeper. Like I said last year I would have gladly taken Bazuna from City and use the spare pounds for a striker, Bazuna has had a few problems at Soton but I think that's common for a young keeper. It's not often Pep puts a first refusal on any player leaving. Trying to think of other number 2s in the league, Kelliher may be looking to leave Liverpool but highly unlikely they would sell to us. The Croatia keeper at the world cup would be worth keeping an eye on, but I'm sure people have a greater grasp on who's available than me.
This is the first time I’ve felt joy that actual football is back on Sunday tbh ? at least then we can argue about who the worst Everton player is again rather than the merits of the best named goalkeeper in the leagueI'm not really sure what any of this means and I'm not trying to figure it out, just bored and clicking things.
That 'small step back', would probably have had us relegated last season and may well do this season, should we try to replace Pickford on an Everton budget.Plenty of gems to be found as always. Yes you are.Areola
