I personally would wait till he's finished in the euros before getting him signed up. Imagine we pay £30m for him and his arms fall off before he's even played for us.

If you watch Pickfords highlight video from last season you see a large portion of it is the Everton matches...Made about 7-8 big saves in them.

I have a theory that the more shots a team allows, the better quality those shots are. As teams play an easier defence they are more particular about closer better shots because they can be. Against a good defence, after 15 minutes they realize they need to take shots from outside. Its a theory anyway. If true would mean its even more impressive his save percentage.

My whole point wasn't about save percentage or how impressive a shot stopper he is, it was about his ability to concentrate and do that in one big moment in a match.

£17m Pickford

Everton are "increasingly confident" of tying up a £17m deal for Jordan Pickford, according to reports in the North East.

Scott Wilson, the Chief Sports Writer at The Northern Echo reports;

Koeman wants a new number one when the transfer window reopens, and has identified Pickford as his preferred option.

He is set to launch a formal approach once the season is at an end, and is confident of securing a deal for around £17m. Sunderland will be hoping to secure at least £20m for Pickford’s services, but will be mindful that their negotiating position has been weakened by their relegation.

Everton are aware they will face competition for Pickford, who has rapidly earned a reputation as the most exciting young goalkeeper in the country, but are willing to more than treble his current wages on Wearside in order to lure him to Goodison Park.​

Yous lot are getting a cracking player. Hes one of our own but that sort of money especially in our situation cant be refused.

His distribution of the ball is unreal, drop a ball on a ten bob bit from 50-60 yards. Strikes it like a striker, infact id let him take the penalties cos if the keeper got in the way hed end up in the net aswell!
