Sign of a good keeper. Had practically nothing to do all game , then pulled out a save like that when it mattered

exactly, which would have been one of people's rightful concerns as it's totally different from sunderland, but to me he is the real deal. Just everything about him for me is exceptional. If he was in any other country he'd have been playing prem football for about 3 or 4 seasons now and would have double figures in international caps. Especially somewhere like germany. But i was so glad we got him, that catch near the end where he just ploughed through about 4 or 5 bodies ahead of him to claim, thought he had no right to get there, but great keeping.

Before we signed him, i was not very supportive of our interest in him. (Changed as soon as we signed him though)

My fears were that he did not come out of his goal, he didn't come and command his area, and that he may lack concentration with less shots at him.

I no longer have any of those fears, and the lad looks a very, very good signing. If he can keep up that level of performance for most of the season, and i don't see why not, then we have a absolute gem of a goalkeeper.

Very vocal too, which is great.

LOL got to admire his self belief and confidence. Was barking orders most of the game to an experienced international centre half 11 years his senior.

So good to see.
