Confirmed Signing Josh King

It's good to have a player called 'King' back at the club, let's hope Josh King does the business and helps push us forward. Is he eligible to plays against Leeds Utd or no?

His pace and movement will hopefully stretch defences even if he’s not finishing off the moves himself. Too often lately DCL has been getting marked out the game by more than one defender because he’s not had enough support up the top end.
Yeh, basically what Richie has stopped doing

Be interesting to see if he gets thrown straight in against United on Saturday or not, especially as he’s cup tied for the Spurs game
Last transfer window Bournemouth valued him at 13 million - so it's a no-brainer not signed on a long contract probably 4.5 million in agent fees plus wages .... I can see him playing wide cutting in to help DCL like Rhico does - he is fast plus he has a strong build ....
Time will tell he is fighting for an extension on this deal too....... only thing against him, he is 29 & has an injury history ...... but so did Andy Gray.....

That’s got nothing to do with what I said Joey

? I was not answering your post, it was my opinion of the signing we will see him when he is chosen - not a speculator myself ......
You quoted my post which was speculating if he was going to be played straight off, you responded with a complete ramble about his actual signing

He's a big lad too. Looks to have the shape and physique of Dom.

Yes definately. We are quite fortunate that we have a player I would be comfortable replacing either Richarlinson or DCL if they were injured.

I had reservations too, particularly at upwards of 15m quid ith a big contract. But a nominal down payment, rising to up to 5m just seems like fantastic business to me. An absolute steal.

In general this is smart too. We are buying a good player, not at the top of his price point (as we did with Sigurdsson) but really right at the bottom of it. We have also again cleverly used stuff around players beng out of contract, which is smart.

He had no choice but to gamble. His three choices were:

a. Fulham and a multi-year deal but with the caveat that Fulham are almost certainly going down so more than likely he'd have to exercise his option to leave when they did get relegated and look for a different top flight club or play in the championship.

b. Everton and a 6 month deal with the option to extend it if all goes well. We won't be going down but he also might hardly play here leaving him with nothing to go on should we decline the extension.

c. Stay at Bournemouth in the championship and not play as the team is better without you and never return to the top flight.

Obviously c was right out so it was down to risking it here or at Fulham. I'd say risking it with James Rodriguez on your side is the right call.

I think he had the option to do a Besic, which involves reducing the risk of injury and waiting a few months to become a completely free agent. I don't agree that such actions would have made a top flight move impossible for Josh King. It may have been his last chance to sign for a club like Everton though, maybe.

If there really is no obligation to buy, he is taking a big risk. If he was to suffer a nasty injury, he wouldn't attract anyone at all, and a contract with a championship team would then become Nirvana in comparison to having no contract at all.

Fair play to him if he is taking such a risk. I don't think everyone would.

Interesting comments from Ancelotti there. Says he hasn’t signed King just to score goals. I think we’ll see him used in Iwobis position on the right.
