From memory It was a tournament called CEE Cup somewhere in Europe, I think in the pics of him in an Everton shirt show Cee on the hoardings. His agent was taking him around a few clubs in Europe , we had a team photo in that tournament and eventually concluded he wasn’t in the photo. There’s bits in the archives of the Youth threads somewhere. I don’t remember him going to Finch Farm, it was all very vague at the time, played a game then off somewhere else and onto Bayern.

I’m sure it wasn’t a great situation at the time but if they push for a move away from one of the best managers in his generation out of pettiness then they need to have a serious word. I can’t see them being so inclined (hopefully)

I hope you're wrong but behind the scenes you'll find football is one of the most petty industries in the world.
 
We all know that in football wherever the player and his agent wants to go is where the player will end up.

Bayern may be able to create different deals with Everton and Parma but apart from that I don't think they will care where he goes.

Business is business. It’s like Watford being annoyed over our approach for Silva yet still negotiated deals for Richarlison & Doucoure with us.

It was a youth tournament in Prague 3 years ago. Leicester also participated. Anthony Gordon was best player.

He's not particularly quick from what I've seen and doesn't have the same ridiculous work rate as Dom, but he has good movement to make up for it.

Technical ability is where he probably has more natural skill than DCL. Very good with both feet and with his head, strong and gets stuck in.

I really hope this comes off. From Zirkzee's point of view he should be thinking about getting some game time with us with a view of playing a lot next season in Europe and cups etc.

You can see why he would love to start every game for Parma but they've scored 14 goals in 19 games this season, and have only won 2 matches all season. He'd probably score more coming off the bench for us!

I think we'll get him.

Interesting thing is when you look at the players signed last summer -- drive and determination in abundance and (bar james) strength and athleticism.

The team will be a massive threat on set pieces if you added in Zirkzee in the last 10mins of a match

...we not only need striker back-up but we need genuine threat off the bench.

it’s been some time since I’ve seen a player on the bench who I’ve thought could make a difference and win us the game. I certainly didn’t expect that with Kean and sadly Gordon is not providing the threat I think he’s capable of.

Can't remember the last time a player came off the bench to score for us in the league. Pretty sure it hasn't happened this season. Tosun against Spurs maybe?
