While he looked ok in the game he played in that U19s tournament we drew 0-0, in the next two games we won both 6-0, with strikers Ellis Simms scoring 5 in two games and Jordan Corke 3 in two games. But the big issue is likely to be that we have no Academy or permanent u18 managers, so possibly nobody of any standing there to put an arm around his shoulder and say this is what we're all about at Everton , join us.

Speculation that we dont have anyone in place. For all we know the coach in charge of this u18's trip could have been promoted.

Also I don't think they'll take that too much into consideration. THe reputation we have they will know we will be bringing in quality if we haven't promoted from within or done so already!

Naw, speculation is when statements are made without any supporting facts. The facts are that the Club has announced that the Academy Manager and the u 18s Manager have moved on, and the Club have not announced any permanent replacements. If you have information and facts that are different then please share your superior knowledge.

No facts etc on the position but don't forget the likes of Phil Jevons are heavily involved at youth level and they know all about coming through the academy and what it is to be blue. I think the quality of the squad sells the academy under 18/23's though a quick show us your medals works!

...there was a picture posted of the ceremony after the U18s won that trophy last week and a bloke on the back row looked like him but I think it was one of the coaches with the same hair cut.

I can't be having that a player in such demand was prepared to have a 'trial' but it's looking like he was only here fleetingly.

Odegaard did something similar with like a billion clubs before he chose Real Madrid. Didn't play any game but I think trained.

Coaches at the tournament said he was ill

Nothing else been said about him

Thing is, we don't usually announce signings of kids that young, so until he turns up somewhere else or we see him on another teamsheet, we may not know what happened here
