Odds move based on betting activity.

Have to say, that as someone who works as a manager for the major high street bookmakers, the ways that odds on this sort of thing are massively misinterpreted. The bookmakers make the market (as they see fit based on the information they have as well as the comparable losses & bets placed on the particular market) & adjust in accordance to minimise losses & maximise potential returns. In short I wouldn't take any really notice on current prices & odds lengthening or reducing unless significant. The best way to put it is that bookmakers are happy to make things look likely if it means they are only likely to make returns or minimze payouts. Common sense really

Skybet manipulate the market by publishing stories that generate turnover. They actually drive this product.

Exactly, they (amongst others) show & promote stories to generate interest & speculation, hence increased turnover (and revenue).

The actual chance of something happening due to a 'news story' breaking is minimal unless from an official source & by & large the General public fall for it time and again

No sky have the unique position where they are both a new source and a bookmaker. They shouldn't be allowed to take football bets, or report on football - one or the other. It's like bloomberg dealing shares.

If you log onto sky bet and place your money on something that un-named 'sky sources' are reporting on sky sports news...
Then, sorry.. You deserve what's coming.

I am new so sorry for any disrespect. I understand that Esk's opinion seems to be very valued, is this because he has got 99% of these rumours that turn out to be true correct or because he is in the know? Sorry Esk not questioning your authority or anything just seeing lots saying "well the 'Esk' said it's done so it is"
