1. Just how large can avatars be, I mean by a sensible size, as I can't find one to fit. I can only seem to find large type ones, that seem a bit big for the forum pages, so just how big is too big?

2. I can't get my smileys back, it says that they are enabled, but they are still not present and it's becoming a tad frustrating. How do you get those faces back, says they are turned on, but nothing is happening.

any help as always appreciated, any piles of sawdust will get short shrift.

Go to 'UserCP', go to 'Edit Options' on the left side, scroll down to 'Miscellaneous Options', in 'Message Editor Interface'. You may be on 'Basic Editor - a SimpleText Box', change it to 'Standard Editor'.

Save changes and hopefully, and without the aid of sawdust, your smileys will be back - but don't use them when Chico's around

I did all as was suggested but on the section stated there is only 'event reminders' and 'attachments', both vacant, no mention of Message Editor or anything similar.

I browsed through some avatars just now but they are simply too big to put on, I can't seem to find a suitable size, I don't know if they shrink in size when added to profile but I doubt it.


I'll keep at it, damn frustrating I can tell you.

Anyways, just load up any picture you like into paint and go to [Image] then [Resize/skew] and reduce it by 20% or so both vertically and horizontally, then check [image] [attributes] to check it is 200 x 200 pixels or less.
