Any amount going down is good (y) I just filled up for the princely sum of $4.25 a gallon for 93 octane (much inferior to your gas)

i'm on lpg too(y) i'm only paying about 52p a litre though, it's gone up from 36p a litre when i got the car so a bigger perrcentage increase than petrol/diesel. vegetable oil is the way to go apparently.

usually the shell on east lancs rd at haydock (m6 junction), got some the other dsay from an autogas conversion place 50p. dont know any aroound skem though, there is a big diff erence between places though and the bp near ikea is always a bout 8p a litre more, which in petrol terms is like puttin 20p on a litre.

I heard this on the radio too. Very good news. Isn't it strange though how the government keep telling us that the cost of oil is rising almost daily, yet Morissons and a few other places have managed to cut their costs due to falling oil prices? I hate this [Poor language removed] government they tell more lies then fat Keith!

The supermarkets use petrol as a loss leader. Not unusual for them to have a price war on petrol in order to get you at the store. It doesn't mean the outlook for oil has changed.

No according to the news on the radio this morning they were taking advantage of a drop in oil prices and lowring their costs per litre.

I know Gordon Brown was in Iraq the other day so its possible that he struck a deal but at the same time most of our oil apparently comes from our own sources in the North Sea, so not sure if that would be possible.

The North Sea is a dwindling resource and we are far from self sufficient any more.

Very true. On a related issue I definatly dont think that nuclear power stations are the way forward for providing our electricity as the government are suggesting either. If we build loads of nuclear power stations were just asking for a disaster, or making ourselves even more vulnerable to terrorist threats.

I was watching an old top gear on Dave the other day and they had a car that ran on salt water, apparently thats going to be the next big break through.

I just want a clean efficient fuel source that the government can't tax us to death on. Doubt it'll happen any time soon though :(
