I don't want to be negative, but I just don't see Simms ever being good enough. Dobbin needs more time.

That may or may not be true with Simms, only time will tell. But we had a lot of very expensive highly paid first team squad members on the bench who were definitely not good enough last season.

I would prefer Simms as a bench warmer and occasional sub to most that we had last season. I don’t think we have anything to lose.
