Quite a few comments over the last 24 hours saying the Greek league is not the same as the Premier league and can he step up.Greek league is far better than the SPL and Jelavic didn;t seem to have a problem.If you compare the Greek league to the Championship he will be mint............ just like Lescott,Cahill and Jags.

Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla are pretty marquee names I think. Top quality players.
I actually think they've got a stronger team now. Those three add a bit more than just one Robin Van Persie.

I see what you mean but to be honest who knows what goes through Wengers head. We´ll probably know if it´s on or off in 24h, or at least if Arsenal are in it or not.
The Gaffer being in Belgium bodes well though, I wonder if the plan is that him, Heitinga and Mirallas will travel back to Liverpool together. That would give Moyes ample time to convince the kid.
Still, it´s in Arsenals hand really, if they don´t want him, we´ll get him for sure, but if they do, our chances are slim with the londoners holding the trumph card; the lure of Champions league football.

It's been a superb transfer window for Arsenal tbf.
Once they get rid of Bendtner it's basically been swapping him and RVP for the three they brought in, which is superb business.
Now they should get rid of Vela (I reckon up to 5m), Song (15m if you believe the press) looks like he might be off. Could still be another one or two decent names heading ot the Emirates Stadium by the end of the month.
If I were Wenger I'd be touting Walcott to any takers too. Some soft team, probably Liverpool, would probably throw 20m his way, leaving another 30-odd million to sign a handful of players.

Wenger's never been one to cave into transfer pressure.
I can honestly see them having a great season, even if they make no more signings. Bear in mind, for all the doom and gloom, they had a good season last year. Now they'll have Wilshere back, Oxlade-Chamberlain is older, Podolski is proven quality, Cazorla too and Giroud, if he can pick up where he left off in France, could be a cracking player. On top of that Gervinho has looked good this pre-season and may shine now that he's more used to the league.
They were over-reliant on Van Persie I think, with few other players bagging decent goal returns, and now they've got a better spread.

agreed, as well as a whole season with the ox. still need to sort their defence out, but wenger doesnt seem to want to do that. they really could do with spending most the van persie money on a defender

Im guessing they have met up before the game to talk and went to the game together and will no doubt of met up with Mirallas aswell after.
