Kevin Mirallas

Don't see why he has to play LM to be honest. He's good on the right and works well with Coleman, and crucially he can drift. I'd love us to make him our free role player. We have a versatile midfield so iron-cast positions don't mean much.

Just let Kev be Kev.

He tore Wisdom a new one on Sunday but he is limited on that sat by being so predominantly right footed.

It's nice to know we have a real alternative to Pienaar on the left (that isn't Gueye) but keep him on the right

Mirallas is pretty two footed to be fair. He's right footed, no doubt, but his left is pretty darn good.

Crucially though, his step-overs are world class.

I can see his finishing getting better too, realistically it's the only thing letting him down. Like someone's said before though it's a joy to watch him tear people inside out down the wing.

He does need to work on that, but he's scored enough to suggest he is a finisher.

His crossing was highlighted as a weak point before he signed, but I have to say his delivery was top notch on Sunday.

The thing I love about Kev the most is how direct he is. He wants the ball to feet so that he can drive into the space which puts defenders under pressure straight away.
Speaking of Sunday, and the comments of that t*t Gerrard, Whilst it has statistically been proven that hes wrong to label us long ball merchants, I do think with more confidence we could beat them at their own game.
The reason we go long at the moment is because Jagielka, the main distributor from the back should always have 3 choices - full back; centre-mid; long-ball.
We know the long-ball is effective to Fellaini because of how powerful he is, plus the fact his close control is quite literally 'sex'. Giving the ball to Coleman or whoever isnt always ideal because your inviting pressure in an isolated area of the pitch. For me, the return of Gibson will allow us to play our 'game' again. Gibson, not flash by any stretch, demands the ball from the back and look to play an intelligent, meaningful pass. At the moment, Jags has got Phil Neville who will most probably give it him back, or Ossie who had a wonderful game on Sunday, but doesnt 'show' nearly enough.
Also, with Gibson playing (or perhaps even Hitzl if we can get him fit) it allows Fellaini and Jelavic to push the oppositions defence back further into their territory, meaning then that Mirralles and Pienaar have bags of space to play in between the oppositions defence and midfield with Ossie coming from Deep and Gibson covering.
Simply put, our entire system relies upon an enterprising centre-midfield, especially at home. Swansea away is the exception, but we literally shocked them into submission with how high up the pitch we pressed them.

really want us to get Donovan in. A team with Mirallas, Pienaar, Gibson, Fellaini, Donovan and Jelavic would play some fantastic football - Osman and Naismith to come in as cover.

I'd happily see the same side that started Sunday but with Pienaar and Gibson replacing Osman and Neville

What? Osman was very good and even Neville had a decent game apart from his Suarez impression.

I'll happily see Pienaar move into the middle if Mirallas plays best on the left. I realise "Bainnar" has been outstanding over the years, but I thought last season Pienaar as a more central player elevated the goal rate of Jelavic. So it could be win-win.

Could well work, but if it aint broke don`t fix it.Thats the thing with the prem and lot of other leagues probably. You dont get time to experiment really cos if it goes wrong the pressure is soon on.Think thats why Moyes always goes with the safe option.eg.Neville.
