I like Mertens meself - but Napoli'd want dough for him. I don't see the point of getting shut of our most creative player then paying out more for another foreign & untried at PL level player uncertain to make as good an impression. And I certainly wouldn't be happy lettin him go to that fagin/shylock at spurs for a few £m plus lennon - who isn't a regular for them.

Psg are a champions league side, paying massive wages. Why would lavezzi leave them for us? Martens is a good shout. I just hope we sort whatever it is that's going on with mirallas out and keep hold of him. Even with delofeu coming in mirallas is still the best wide forward we have imo

We'd never ever get Eto'o or pay £27M for a player. Why not Lavezzi? Ok, he might want a CL playing club, but he's 30 and and he'd be looking for a long lucrative deal in England before he signs off. If none of our CL playing clubs are in for him I dont see why not. We live in a world where Shaqiri is on Stoke's radar.

Mate I hope you're right and he's someone we can bring in IF mirallas goes. I don't see it though, imo, he'd go to another champions league side or back to Argentina.

I'd take Mertens any day of the week, however I think we'd have to spend a chunk of the Mirallas money (say if we got £15m) on him. If Mirallas goes, I'd want two more wingers coming in.

For the extra outlay - I don't think we'd be getting anymore than we do from Mirallas now, meself. I like Mertens, but he's only as good as Mirallas, not better imo.
