Kevin Mirallas

Osman coming on finished me with this manager, final nail in the coffin, he is past it , what does he offer, he is weak ,slow, can't shoot, tackle , no goal threat
I just don't get it even if you wanted to keep the ball there are others on the bench who do it better, I would sooner a kid with a bit of effort than him.
Kev is off unless we get another manger and I can't blame him.

I think he wanted a player that is, for all Osman's faults, still adept at picking up little pockets of space and finding a pass.
Yes, I would have liked to see Kev come on, but fgs he's not exactly the best player we have. You'd think it'd be like leaving the equivalent of Ronaldo on the bench.

We didn't lose the game because of our substitutions.

Mirallas, I can almost guarantee, would have found it just as difficult as Del or Kone to get into the game. WBA had 10 men in the box, there was no space.

We lost the game because we failed to take the chances we did create and because stuff like deflections and shots hitting the post etc didn't go our way. On a different day they might have done.
Hmmmm. Wonder if the (arguably) best finisher at he club might have made a difference? Best leave him on the bench and not find out.

Kev is more of a threat to win a free kick or pen than Kone is, because he's more likely to run at a defence when he has the ball the Kone is. He's also more likely to score than Kone is, as their respective career totals indicate.

Whilst I agree that we didn't concede the opening goal due to our substitutions, we definitely reduced our chances of getting an equaliser because of them.

No-one's saying Kev is at Ronaldo's level. We're all saying he's substantially better than Kone, and would have been the better choice in the game situation yesterday.

He hasn't set the world alight kev, but still a better option, pienarr keeps the ball better , Del in a second forward role like he played earlier in his career all I would try before Osman, few season ago he might have been a decent option sadly not these days.

Injured, sent off or poor? He's been on the bench and barely kicked a ball all season. Has been decent when he's played but badly needs a run in the team. Woefully treated this season.

When hes been given a chance hes not performed though has he?

Leaving Lennon on and bringing Deulofeu on, playing two wingers and stretching the game, would have been the right call.

Mirallas isn't the answer to any question.

When Kone came on it changed the gave and not in a good way. He was virtually a ghost and is not a player that oppostions would be worried about coming off the bench. Mirallas is. He could be having a stinker but still has the quality to take a half chance if it is presented. Kone doesnt and when trying to break down a team like West Brom a moment of magic can be required and Kone (and Osman) were never going to be the players to provide it.

Kone is rubbish, said that since before we signed him, after we signed him and after he was apparently Messi incarnate after his hat trick.

Osman is also totally useless.

Doesnt mean Mirallas would be any better, hes been ineffective when given a chance really.

Point is, we were prevented from possibly getting 1 or even 3 points , from this game by the brainless substitutions!!! Kone and Osman probably the two most inaffective players at the club, just glab Hibbo wasn't on the bench otherwise he would of been put on to!!! Pathetic management !

Scored four superbly taken goals, and could easily have had more. Yes he can be a bit too greedy at times, but I'd rather have that than watching Kone going into meltdown whenever he enters the penalty area.

I'm just thinking about the bench yesterday:

Mirallas - out of favour / not performed
osman - out of contract
pienaar - out of contract
kone - one year left
baines - top player
deulofeu - top player
howard -useless

Going to be a fair fee changes in summer snd mirallss will be part of the exodus.

Mirallas - out of favour / not performed

As opposed to Cleverley and Kone, who have performed so well. Not.

Hopefully the manager will get his head out of his arse some point soon

Whilst id have Lennon(in this form) and Deulofeu over him, the treatment he's received is awful. When RM joined, i thought the player who'd thrive the most would be Mirallas and i thought, injuries aside, Mirallas was really really good in the first season, then its almost like after he got that hammy injury against Liverpool at Anfield its all went downhill for him, then obviously the penalty incident.

The manager needs to get a grip and realise he's got a player here who can improve us immensely. His Chelsea away performance is far superior than anything Kone has cropped up.
