We played 3-4-3 because of a lack of a proper good DM - hence a third centre back. Onana and Gana and possibly Garner pushes the 4 at the back to the fore now. We have many options. COYB!

1. It seems plan was always to replace Richy with Gordon (not McNeil).

2. Also looks like Vinagre was brought in as an attacking alternative to Myko. There is a good balance in depth there. There will be games suited for each this season.

3. I think Maupay was Plan C or D, but that sort of thing happens when your budget is limited and other clubs are throwing around more money. Still, he showed qualities Rondon is missing.

4. Central midfield is remarkably improved. Before DCL’s injury, that was a (one of several) big weakness.

I’d keep them at this point. Allan was nearly needed today. I probably would have put Rondon on for 5 to hold the ball up too.

I would play Allan before Davies but Frank doesn’t think so. And yes Maupay was groosed from 75 mins.

Yeah he signed a long one, but he signed it in 2018.

Assuming they want them. Iwobi probably jumps at a wage packet. Don't think Pickford wants to go anywhere - I think he wants to maximize his chances at being the England hero that ends the drought. Gordon may not want to cede the club the extra leverage. Depends on his plans next summer.
