I'd be surprised if there were not cases where violent sex crime had been committed because someone had spent too long being indoctrinated by violent images. The fantasies that you mention are surely only increased when he sees the various acts carried out in the name of self-fulfillment. After all, if you claim that it cannot have a bad effect on the individual, then you're committed to believing that books, films and other forms of media cannot have a good effect on a person. And we all know that these things can improve us.
