Pear free is sound for a bevy. Can sit outside without fear of kids attempting to offer you out, and can watch the footy usually. It's round the corner from mine.


99.9% of pubs in Kirkby are literally DANGEROUS.

Nahhhh honestly, the Wetherspoons is actually good. Not even joking, it's actually really good!

Also, the Falcon isn't too bad. New ownership, decorated, not a bad little gaff.

The L32 is suicidal though, and every other pub barring Wetherspoons in the town centre and beyond.

Don't think so, fairly sure the old owner Jimmy Murray was a mad Evertonian. He's sold it now though.

It's one of those corner pubs that hasn't been overrun by drug barons shifting massive amounts of cocaine through it. Which is completely applicable for pretty much every other pub in Kirkby.

I remember going in the Woodpecker a few years back; I was half expecting to see a Scouse version of Fat Tony from the Simpsons in the corner.

Wetherspoons is really decent, never seen any trouble, been there quite often. I had the same opinion as you but went in there a hot day out of desperation for a cold J20 and was pleasantly surprised.

Agreed.

The offy in question is actually hysterical. It's like a small extension on the pub with a black and white sign above it which says "Booze" or something.

Not even joking in the slightest.

Actually, just decided to screenshot it off Google as I was writing.

Genuinely a contender for grimmest place in Britain right there.
