my grandad objected to being called a scouser, was it at one time a bit like being called a scal or a lid ?

Honestly there are'nt to many words that could get me upset.. However, when im judged based on the actions of someone else (Goverment) for example I get pissed off..
Some Europeans tend to judge Americans based on what our goverment has done.. That to me is worst than any name calling..

It is like a Kiwi calling an Englishman a Pom. It isn't offensive in the slightest (although it originated from the civil war, the southerners called the northerners Yankee's, or something......)

Thanks for that, I was never sure how The Yanks viewed the word Yank. For me, I never use it in a bad way, but ive known it to be considered offensive.

Clearly if you add another word on the end, such as **** or **** or even ********** or maybe ********.

I know I am not offended. Heck, I am 75% totally covered with tattoos, I have peculier interests, and I am a goofy individual personality wise. I have opened up myself to always getting goofed at by friends and strangers alike. Nothing really gets to me. I could care less what they were saying about us Americans.

I know some southerners who would be upset about being called Yanks though.
