Player Valuation: £35m
Remember us being given permission to talk to him, only for Sheffield United to withdraw in favour of the spurs deal.

He then went on and signed for Spurs (showing the kind of ambition that has made England such a force in world football) in the safe knowledge that the wages were good and that he'd never have to worry about playing in the first team what with one solid right back ahead of him.

Did I say one full back, I meant Walker, Corluka, Hutton, Assou-Ekotto, Bale, Chimbonda etc.

He managed one appearance for Spurs last season, a sub in the 94 minute. (apparently he ran the game from then like).

After that he got loaned out to Middlesborough.

If he wanted to still play in the championship why the **** move? Wages. knobhead.

Could've been on the verge of the england set up, or at least being implausibly ignored by capello after a breathtaking season at Everton.

Did they end up rejected our bid, as Sprus were offering 11m or something for him and Walker?

I reckon Moyes just realised Seamus was gonna be awesome and pulled out....=)

But you're right, its all about the benjamins

yeah its all good.

Its just mystifying in terms of personal ambition from the lad. Why sign for Spurs. He could of pushed for the Everton deal and had first team football and football in Europe last season (lets face it we were short on numbers).

Anyone but anyone could've wrote the script that he would never get a game for Spurs. We seem to breed footballers in England with no kind of drive apart from making money these days.

Do they even like playing the game or just the fast cars and sponsorship deals and peroxide wags?

To be honest, he was forced to go to Spurs. From Sheff Utd fans I know, they all said he wanted to go to Everton. But 'Arry came in with a better take it all leave it offer at £6mill for Naughton and Kyle Walker, giving Sheff Utd Walker back on loan for the season.

Dont think he was complaining over the move, but he prefered to come over here.

My anger over the whole thing would be more directed towards the biggest prick in football ('Arry). £6m for two players, who have played a combined 30 seconds of football so far for the club. And people say that all of Harry's clubs' financial problems have nothing to do with him. This guy could bankrupt City FFS.

So he could of come here and played 3rd fiddle behind Hibbert and Neville?

Hardly much better off than at Spurs although he might of got a few games at centre back or something due to injuries.

he wasn't forced to sign. He had a choice.
