he wasn't forced to sign. He had a choice.

He may not have had the choice. The Spurs deal was basically Walker and Naughton for £6mill - anything other than that then the deal was off. He was probably swayed to go, but he was probably forced to move so United could get the money. If not, Sheff Utd would've got less.

I've got to do something before the season kicks off.

Personally think, with the money that was talked about Moyes would've groomed him as a starting right back, hence he would've got more games. Were both dreaming if we reckon we KNOW what would've happened.

But I knew that he'd never get as much as a sniff at first team footy with Spurs.
