LA LA Land, Occer style

I just moved to Surfers Paradise in Queensland and boy, is this place weird. Theres a million skyscrapers lining the beach and I went for a swim this morning. They are setting up the Indy track on the streets so I went for a hoon. It was great. I was tearing around the track with all the advertising hoardings thinking Im Fisichella! Theres some old people walking around with skin tight exersize clothes which is freaking me out.

I went to this deveopment today called Sanctuary Cove, with multi million dollar houses. The architecture on these places is amazing, but theyre on these small blocks and its full of ancient old people.

Anyway has anyone been to the Gold Coast before? I think the richest people here are the dudes who make neon advertising signs!

(But most of the chicks here are filthy hot!)

I've been there for a flying visit (only 4 days I think). It is an odd place, but nice place in the evening. I think I went on a boat trip when I was there and saw some whales in the bay or something. That might have been further south though :S
Wouldn't want to live there though!

Yup, been there done that. It's just a hop over from here - not that I'd do it that often, after all its Australia! I much prefer my quiet little rural lifestyle thank you very much!

And besides, there are plenty of more lit-up places in the world, the one and only Morecombe Illuminations are just exceptional And then there is that place in the middle of the Mojave desert, you know the one, Viva ... you can't even start to compare

Hey I was there a couple of weeks ago doing the east coast of Oz for me there were better spots, for the beach and surf but the night lofe is wild, reminded me of Ibiza when i was 18!

In New Zealand at the mo it rocks!
