I'd fume if we were paying what would total £3m for a four month loan signing, i just can't see Martinez going for that.

Lacina Traoré’s future up in the air due to hamstring injury

Get French Football News understands that Lacina Traoré’s proposed loan move to West Ham United has suffered a major setback after the Premier League side decided to put a deal on hold while they assess other attacking options. The club’s manager Sam Allardyce has proclaimed that the deal is now dead.

The player had completed some preliminary medical checks in France but after further assessment, West Ham are understood to have been unimpressed by the player’s lack of fitness.

The real issue is however Traoré’s hamstring injury which is set to keep him out of any first team action, wherever he ends up this January, for two and a half to three weeks before he has fully recovered from this.

This uncomfortable truth combined with the fact that Traoré needs another ten days on top of that of intense training to put him into shape for the nature of the Premier League competition means that the Hammers have decided to look at the other options, receiving good news with regards to Ishak Belfodil today.

This compounded by the fact that West Ham had agreed to pay a €2.5m loan fee for Lacina Traoré should a deal go through and weekly wages believed to be around €65k, means that it would be a pricey move if it is finalised.

The Daily Mail reported this morning that Everton had in the meantime pounced on the opportunity to sign the player and have gone ahead of the Hammers in terms of the Lacina Traoré race.

Get French Football News has learnt today that Everton did enquire about a loan move for Lacina Traoré about two weeks ago but we are currently unaware of any further negotiations in recent days.

If Traoré was to enter into advanced negotiations with another Premier League club, he would not have difficulties in applying for another work permit. It is applicable for any move he makes in Britain this month but an interested party would still have to declare why the player should sign. The majority of the paperwork is already in place.

Well, I've just read something very interesting on Traore.

Apparently West Ham's new head physio is Dominic Rogan, who joined them a few days ago from us! Rogan was also a physio with Anzhi Makhachkala in the past, during the time when Traore was there.

Rogan advised West Ham to be cautious in signing Traore, which is why they dragged their feet.

Does Rogan know something we don't know?

Apparently West Ham's new head physio is Dominic Rogan, who until last season was a physio with Everton. Rogan was also a physio with Anzhi Makhachkala in the past, during the time when Traore was there.

Rogan advised West Ham to be cautious in signing Traore, which is why they dragged their feet.

Does Rogan know something we don't know?

Why would west ham of approached for him at all if Rogan knew 'something'?

Double paranoid nonsense.

Because Rogan only joined them 3 days ago and West Ham had been trying to sign Traore for 3 weeks according to Allardyce.

Mere circumstantial.

Monaco wouldn't have spent 15million euros on him and he wouldn't of passed their medical if there was a problem.

Nor would he pass Everton's either.

I agree Allardyce looked gutted, so maybe it is nothing.

Just putting it out there, and after all, it came from a West Ham fans website so maybe they're clutching at straws.
