Seriously though, I think he'll be great for us.

...bottom line is, will Jelavic leaving and this bloke coming in strengthen our squad? That's all that matters and I think he will.

I don't think anyone's disagreeing with that but come the end of the season we will have just 1 striker (Kone) on the books, even Vellios's contract will be up. I don't know why we didn't go in for Traore before he signed for Monaco if Martinez likes him so much or is the reality all the money from Jelavic and Fellaini and Anichebe gone to the lawnmower fund again? The fact we can't or won't even pay 7m for Mitchy is worrying, 7m isn't a lot for a young striker in this day and age. It's not as if anyone thinks he's a world beater but the point is why is every addition to the team a loan when we should have so much money available?

...I suspect that the long-term signing hasn't been available and the Traore short -term opportunity presented itself. I get the impression RM is relaxed about the loanees and doesn't perceive the same risk as some of us.

Maybe RM doesn't rate this bloke you say we should spend £7m on. Have you ever thought of that?

Tbh mate I think it's pretty obvious the long term target is not available at the moment. I'm actually pretty happy RM doesn't appear to be a trigger happy kind of manager that just wants any old player coming in...that is a recepie for disaster. For all we know there could be a sniff that lukaku could be available come summer, if so and we'v spent our doh on some average Jo, well that would just be stupid.
