White spirit will shift it.

Then whatever household cleaner to clear off the white spirit smell.

Been there done that.

The wife has started spring cleaning, I go on here for stupid arguments not the real arguments we'll have in real life.

Anyway try lava

Sugar soap. When it's time to clean the extractor hood and filter, sugar soap is the best, can leave the filter sat in it for a day. Beware, this stuff cuts, use gloves or you'll strip all the oil out of your hands and flesh n bones don't like it. This stuff is so powerful it can be used to clean history ffs.

Note: lemme find it...

Have you tried leaving bicarb of soda on it for a while, then adding white vinegar. Proper shifts stuff. Might need a few rounds, but it works.

Soda crystals mixed in with water is cat hot on grease.

Oh, and stop being such a bad scruff and clean mote frequently / change the charcoal filters in your cooker hood (or get one).

Xxx
bicarb of soda is one thing, but soda crystals are quite another...sodium carbonate decahydrate, use the appropriate safety coverings when messing about with this stuff.
