He's appeared though and he's turned it down, just six months after signing his original contract and when his new club, of whom he's received much adoration from the fans, needs him most.

In a saturated market of lamentable behaviour this is right up there.
You'll be singing his name in the St End when he rises like a salmon and notches against the filth

You won't be thinking about his moral standing then mate.

It's only the Mackems anyway, they're used to being wringed out

Footballers can't be compared with people in 'real' jobs. In 'real' jobs your employer doesn't pay millions of pounds to have you work for them, and you aren't paid millions of pounds to work for said employer. I prefer to see footballers more as possessions than human beings. It's the best way.

I want him to actually take a piss in front of the Sunderland fans after diving to get Defoe sent off in the first minute.

But it's Monday morning on here and we need the weekend angst to carry over sir so I'm prepared to get my hands dirty to achieve this.

By that same token they should be a lot more respecting of these very generous contracts they sign plus of the adoration they receive from fans, of which they wouldn't have in a normal job.

Yet they behave worse than pretty much any sector of employees. As role models.

Come on mate. Koeman gave Southampton two seasons and was entering the final year of his contract. It's a world away.

The club just offered him a new contact and he turned it down, just on six months after joining the club on a permanent transfer.

It's perfectly fine to criticise the behaviour of player during this summer. Excusing it because he is due to sign for us is kopite behaviour. Let's get some t shirts and get the players to wear them while warming up to FREE LAMINE from this terrible injustice imposed upon him.

He's behaved like an utter gimp.

You've nailed it there Cheeks...kudos.
'Entitlement-creep' is a cancer, and it metastasizes socially with rabid-like pathology.

...And don't even start me on cognitive dissonance...

I bet if they didn't have these agents 'working' for them there would be a lot more respect towards signed contracts. The agents don't care about the clubs or fans, they're looking to line their own pockets above anything else, so will advise (if you can use that word) their players to do whatever it takes to get some easy dough. Scum tbf.
