Dragged AOTS 2nd half.

There was a chance for Lukaku that he didn't get under full control (Think it was at 1-0) and kone took it off him. Well imo that was down to Lukaku more than kone, unlike the commentators'd have you believe.

Not worth the grossly overinflated fee bandied for him, imo. Best watched to see if he's any good over a spell, rather than on the back of putting two past us.

I'd disagree. Personally i thought Kone was solid and the other fella was quite poor. Kept finding himself one on one with lukaku and losing the battle.

Might be a issue for sunderland this season if the fella next to kone is letting him down.

I think if we weren't heavily linked with Kone you'd probably agree mate. We won't sign him anyway so it doesn't matter. Glad we're not as well.

Admittedly he didn't strike me as a player i suddenly want us to go and get no. But then i was paying more atrention to the blue shirts rather than the red ones lol

It may only be for a season or 2 but I think Jags and Williams are the best defensive partnership in the league and if we are going to do something this season we needed to keep him. I was disappointed at the time but didn't see a player who was any better than Funes Mori who also gets a lot of goals.
 
Sunderland just announced he's signed a new five year contract. I know nothing's impossible in footy, but I'd be surprised if we went back in for him in the next 12 months.
