If I was ever in a position to go to the States, I'd fly to New York and take the city in, before going on to Chicago and seattle.. Maybe end up In san Francisco. Much prefer to travel the North and cooler States than the South.

Decent plan. I'd do Boston and DC too if you're out East (I haven't been too Philly, so I am probably leaving off a bigger must see). I would add Portland to your West Coast itinerary.
Did 5 weeks in Vegas with work, was heavy towards the end. Too much temptation to go out every night as there’s always something going on. I loved it on the whole, though.
Been to San Diego since and it is a much better place, beautiful city.

About the last place on the planet I would like to go. The epitome of everything I dislike about humanity, bar one or two things.
My son in law and his family are obsessed. Apparently handing over enormous wedges of cash for nothing shows you to be a big man. They must use brainwashing via flashing lights or something.

The only reason I would consider going is if there was someone playing there I'd always wanted to see...
Never fancied it but was dragged there by the missus and loved it. I’m not much of a gambler but the abundance of food, booze and flashing lights was enough for me.

I have to say I kind of that attitude but was won over when I went there. Yes there are problems/issues like you say, what city hasn't? But it is a lot more than just casinos to see and do. Imho if anyone has the chance it would be worth it for the experience.
