Today’s the day guys, my last day as a smoker. Set a quit date which is tomorrow, got my patches and an inhaler gizmo to help me through the first couple of weeks but hopefully I’ll manage it. I stopped previously for 12 years but stupidly started again 2 years ago but have decided to now kick the habit for good. Not gonna be easy as I love having a smoke in the morning with my brew but health and stuff has to come first as my 50’s are slowly creeping up on me.

Make sure you don't leave any around the house, get rid of what you've got left today.

Good luck with this.

I tried all sorts, patches, hypnotherapy, champix etc. Final thing that worked was Allen Carrs book. Read it 7 years ago and not smoked since.

Different things work for different people, but whatever works is worth sticking at.

Good luck mate. Really hope you kick it. I despise the things.

I gave up smoking 6years ago, you have to be determined with yourself for your health and pocket. I didn't want my grandchildren to see me smoking which drove me on to succeed. Also you can save for something you've always wanted , which is a great incentive. Best of luck . I was on the baccy aswell . Can't stand the smell now.
