Last Film You Watched

Finally got around to watching Behind the Curve, the documentary (mockumentary?) about the Flat Earth movement.

Absolutely fascinating from a human psychology standpoint. And explains a lot how, by extension, we have come to live in these times of alternative facts.

Pet Semetary. I enjoyed it, almost like for like of the original from what I can remember apart from the kids. John Lithgow did Fred Gwynn proud, probably could have pushed the boat out a bit and made it a bit more frightening

Ma told me to read the book, so I’ll give that a whirl

Just seen the trailer for the Sonic movie

Why? It's 2019, it's about 25 years too late. Sonic was never based in this world. Make something in a fnatasy realm with Tails and maybe Knuckles and it could have had a purpose. This just looks like a terrible cross between Tranformers and The Mario movie from the 90s.

Loved that, it was great watching their little faces try and compute why their experiments werent coming up with the results they wanted and then just saying there must be something wrong. The endings great as well.

Just said something similar in the other thread, utter jokes.

ZERO. Though there is an Easter egg right at the end

Stayed to the end and didn't see anything??

All the proper Marvel nerds went ballistic when Captain America summoned Thor’s hammer. One guy behind me going “I knew it, I knew it”. Not having read the comics I definitely didn’t know it.

Haha, yeah that bit got an audible gasp where I was :):)

Also - I've not seen any of the series - but apparently Peggys husbands name was never mentioned - so could it be that he was the husband all along?

I've missed lots of solo fims, but I think the answer lies in the scene when he goes in to her office and she has a pic of him on her desk?

I'm so greatful that they used her as they did. I honesty feared the worst at the start of this, that she was gonna drag the whole movie down with her boring, overpowered charecter. Thankfully the people in charge of the film had enough sense to keep her away and use her for just the right amount (aka the bare minimum). She's able to look super strong and cool, arrive as the cavalry and doesn't make everything about her. I'm greatful that they focused on the right people. Yeah I know it doesn't make much sense for her to not be there storywise but the film would of suffered massively every second she was used outside of what they did.

I'm a Marvel fan, but felt the way they wrote her out of most of the movie and then had her return just in time for the big battle at the end was a bit of a cop out tbh.

Overall I really enjoyed it tho, despite some [Poor language removed] a couple rows behind doing their best to ruin it by talking thru the entire film!!:rant:

I agree mate it was a cop out. Honestly though, I don't see what else they could of done. She's so horribly overpowered that there wouldn't of been a story to tell if they'd kept her around. She doesn't fit this carefully crafted world at all IMO. If they really wanted to introduce her character so much then they should of waited till post End Game to do so.

It's so infuriating when that happens. I've had to tell people more then once recently at the cinema to shut up and have some consideration for others when that was happening. It pretty much always shocks them into an embarrassed silence.

Avengers Endgame...

One of the most boring films ive ever seen.

People started talking to each other from about 20mins in...we were checking our watches every now and again...

To be honest i could have taken a nap but didnt want to snore lol

How anyone enjoyed that is way beyond my comprehension...cant fathom how someone could sit through that tosh and think its a 5* film lol

Waste of time and money!!!
I'll take "things that didn't happen" for 500 please Alex

The Sisters Brothers. I enjoyed the book and its humour. The film, however, was pretentious and rather ridiculous in my opinion. It's getting the hype treatment though.
