The Irishman

Tough one to rate this. Really liked the relationship between De Niros character and both Pacino and Pesci. Acting was very good, but I found the film a bit boring at times. It took time for me to get invested in the story as well. In the beginning it just felt like there were too many characters for some reason.

I’ll be nice and give it a solid 7/10

I must admit that although I'm a big fan of the 1974 film and didn't care for the 2006 remake, I was quite looking forward to this, expecting at the very least for it to be watchable trash. But it really wasn't what I was expecting - it's a remake in only the loosest sense, and it updates the story for the #MeToo era. But the thing that struck me the most was how flat it all feels... not a lot seems to happen for large stretches, and the few kills that are sprinkled throughout all feel very underpowered. An odd one, and not a lot of fun, but at least it's prompted me to give the original another watch over Christmas. Star Imogen Poots, however, is always quite an interesting actress to watch, and Cary Elwes seems to have fun hamming it up as a lecturer at loggerheads with his activist students.

Underground 6,it has everything, multi billionaire orphan,a hitman,an ex CIA agent,a doctor,an ex marine who feels responsible for the death of his squad,a Cockerneee free runner
It starts with a 20 minute car chase through Florence,theres fast cars,motorbikes,helicoptors,shoot outs,swearing nuns,puppies,explosions,blood,guts,gore
Later on you have middle Eastern dictators, gas attacks, more shoot outs, mega yachts, head explosion, theres everything you expect from an action film, and it is soooooo boring, you really dont care what happens to anyone, the only thing you think about is how much more is left of the film, short version- its gash
Can’t take Ryan Reynolds seriously.

The 2006 film scared me half to death.

Took my kids to watch Knives Out.

Really enjoyed it. One of those films where you find yourself, during the film, thinking how good it is!I looked across at my son and daughter and both were totally transfixed. My daughter kept waffling about it afterwards, really recommend it to anyone.

Great isnt it, i might actually go and see it again if its still on early January

It has the ability to be take a second watch, something I can rarely do. There is much more to see second time around I should think.
Yeah defo, very few films I've done twice, OUAT Hollwood I did recently and a few classics like The Pianist but yeah if it's still on after Christmas
