An oldie, but my favourite music theme based film.

It's based on the rumor that Mozart was poisoned by a rival composer who was envious of his talent.

Three and a half hours so it's not for the light hearted. F Murray Abraham won an Oscar for his portrayal of Salieri, the rival composer.

The scene were he reads the through the original first drafts of Mozart's music and releases the full extent of Mozart's genius is my favourite scene of all time!
'I was looking through a cage of those meticulous strokes at an absolute beauty!'

BorderTown : Mural Murders.

A full length follow on from the excellent Finnish series x 3, Border Town.

The film is every bit as good as the series, proper dark stuff, very much in the same vein as the Killing.

The only problem is that you need to have watched all of the three tv series, to fully get the film.

Netflix.

@Joey66 you’ll like the tv series.

F.M.A is superb in that. Salieri's would be admiration is confounded into inescapable jealousy due to Mozart being not only a genius, but a bit of a puerile nob.

Just been to see Dont look Up, Leonardo DiCaprio is brilliant as always, and Jonah Hill and Jennifer Lawrence are great too, Meryl Streep is dull though to offset it.. but I think she always is.
Good film, apocalyptic comedy, think it's on Netflix next week but I wanted to see it on a cinema, wise move, worthy of a few hours away from the internet.
