Mixture of Tony Scott dying and then was delayed 2 years due to covid. Development started in 2010. Although I agree still quite weird it was only 2010 when they started developing it.

Another very underrated and somewhat forgotten gem that just never found its audience at the time, I think it might have been up against T2 and Disney were low on cachet at the time. But its a really solid boys own adventure, with great cinematography, practical stunts and bags of charm. Give it a whirl if you've not seen it, perfect Sunday flick.

A very good film, but predictably not the most comfortable of experiences.

The acting in general was of excellent quality, but for me Michael Fassbender stole the show. Great performance

Yep, Fassy a great actor, Steve McQueen's directing technique gets to me a bit, always has overlong scene's in his films,

A father with mind control powers from a secret Govt experiment is on the run with his little girl from "The Shop" and it's shadowy Government agents looking to weaponise her pyrokinetic abilities.

Stephen King adaptation which like most of them falls flat. But bonus points for the sheer number of stuntmen engulfed in flames, exploding cars, obvious dummies and George C. Scott's one eyed pointlessly sadistic villain.

Carrie, Christine, Stand By Me and The Dead Zone also very decent ones... and although I don't like them as much, both Misery and The Running Man have plenty of fans.

Although I think King adaptations will always be in negative equity on account of The Dark Tower.
