Just watched "Black Phone". I enjoyed it for its great late 70s vibe and good acting. The film has a bit of magico-realism to it, which might turn some folks off. But all in all, it pitches a great mood and dark feel, and there are some really good creepy scenes. The kid actors are really good!

She’s strangely very attractive and a very good actor too.

I really enjoyed Calm with Horses.

Bleak as anything, but a very good low budget film.

Reminded me of, the all time classic, Dead Mans Shoes.

Anyone seen this French film with Monica Bellucci? The whole story line/plot is backwards, so we start at the end of the film and it ends at the beginning!

And it's only until the last frame of the film that the whole movie makes sense! Worth a watch!

Sounds like Shimmer Lake. Which is well worth watching if you haven't seen it.
