Last Film You Watched

Avatar 2.

First thoughts.. it packs a hell of alot in, is very long, is brilliantly fantastic and yet parts of it you think well that dont make no sense. The CGI is great in parts but it the more you’re in it the less like a real film, and a cartoon. The 3rd act is great fun but lacks the emotion and team building of the first.

I feel abit bombarded and my first thought was I wouldn’t sit through this again.

Dont forget your 3D glasses too. Yep its still a thing.

Watched Emancipation last night.
Will Smith played the lead part better than I thought he would.

True to life story & absolutely brutal in parts .
Well recommend it.

Struggle with him since the slap and also because of that face he is pulling in the poster. He seems to like pulling that face. It’s his post slap face.

Child's Play

Another one I don't have to kick myself for not having watched anymore. Quite enjoyable and very well made, I thought. 7/10
The original or the remake mate?

Really? Because I have some reservations about the seeing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air playing such a serious role.

Think I might do a Christopher Lee marathon these holidays! ;)

Watched one on Prime last night, and was thinking ‘what a cast - Denzel Washington, James Gandolfini, Donald Sutherland, John Goodman - why haven’t I heard of this?’

Cos it was tosh, that’s why.

Fallen.
Really?! I always thought that was a classic… ‘Time is on my side, yes it is!’ ;)
The original. I've seen the remake as well (the one with Mark Hamill voicing Chucky, right?) in the cinema when it was first released. Decent film.
I think so, if it’s the one that I watched, he wasn’t as dirty as the original Chucky…
I mean dialogue wise. The original one and all it’s sequels, they gave Chucky some funny lines! ?
Similar to Freddy Kruger’s lines… You know, like how he says ‘bitch’ alot.

Schalcken the Painter. Always meant to get round to this one, which originally played in the Beeb's spot normally reserved for A Ghost Story for Christmas. It's creepy and atmospheric, and quite an ambitious one to be throwing out to 1970s audiences just a day or two before Christmas. Will definitely watch it again, as I'm sure there's a lot in there I didn't notice first time around.

Well, considering that it took James Cameron almost 2 decades to make and release the sequel, you would think that he would have used all that time to make sure that he produced a perfectly flawless sequel, FFS!
This is indeed the most disconcerting news old boy. This simply won’t do. It sounds like Mr. Cameron was more interested in making a sequel that’s a cash cow, as opposed to a sequel that could rival its predecessor in terms of quality à la Godfather II or Terminator II style.
What’s next? Is he going to make a sequel to The Titanic?
Easy bucks… Jacks didn’t drown in the first film. I can see the trailer now: Jacks back! And this time he’s kicking asses and taking names! ??
Or whatever sells.

It had all the pieces of a decent movie, but just didn’t land with me at all. The best bits were the Washington / Goodman exchanges.

Not even the ending, when the demon jumps into the cat and says ‘Remember, I said this was about the time I almost died’?

A very decent CAM copy of Avatar 2 is out, im quite tempted, just cos of how much it would pee off the film nerds to watch a cam version.
Mate, a ‘decent’ cam version is a copy without some fat bloke sitting in front of the seat where the guy is filming, farting and making other gross noises throughout the entirety of the film!
And you’re lucky if you don’t get a version where you’d think the guy filming has Parkinson’s disease!
But yes, post some screenshots on here to pee off the nerds! See who takes the bait. ?

And just in case anyone is interested, this was one of the original ideas that James Cameron was playing around with as the comedy relief for the movie before he was vehemently advised to scrap it:
