Last Film You Watched

Killers of thr flower moon….over 3 hours long and whilst obviously it was a travesty what happened, the actual movie was a little tiresome and a 3 hour slog. I find Scorsese movies overrated.

Watched this one last night. You have to suspend belief a couple times, but overall I liked it. I have a rudimentary understanding of Polish and this one definitely got me interested in watching more Polish films
There is a bit of trend with polish films requiring you to suspend belief but if you can the production values seem to be improving a lot over the past few years. Netflix has quite a bit, mostly rom com type affairs but recently watched two films Filip and Johnny. The first a war time film about a Jewish waiter trying to sleep with German women for revenge and also survive the war, the later about a priest that helps a guy with no prospects except drugs/ crime turn his life around, based on a true story.

More than a few chapters of Cronenberg in there, thought we were getting a dose of King's 'Christine' but it went right the other way, and a dash of 'under the skin', French grime house, incredibly lit, not a redemptive tale, quite an odd mix. Struggling to match the first half to the second. Some very difficult moments to watch through.

'Censor' tomorrow is half an hour shorter, let's see what turns up in that.

'Censor'.

'it follows', 'under the skin', 'a nightmare on elm street', 'american psycho', 'kill list', 'berberian sound studio', double scoop of 'the evil dead', dusting of 'memento', 'the ring', 'upgrade'. It has a lot to do in this last 25 minutes.
