Last Film You Watched

For any fellow Carpenter/Russell fans

Not sure if you would be interested but just watched the Battered Bastards of Baseball on Netflix the other night.

Really good documentary about the minor league baseball team owned by Kurt Russell’s father, Bing. Great story of iconoclasts fighting against tradition. Kurt was a very good ball player at the time

Who'd have thought Sky would dredge this one up?

Some famous faces make their first steps in acting in a now-typical American high school tale. Of its time and containing scenes and dialogue which, whilst probably not likely to be deemed acceptable today, remain too close to life to ignore.

Plus ca change ...

People that have watched The Flower Moon thingy, is it worth the 64 hour run time?

I keep putting it off, but I have a spare 9million hours later.
Well, Leo and Bobby had a few words on set. Don’t know how it effected the final outcome of the film.

Watched the new Jason Statham flick.

As expected: complete balls to the wall action from start to finish.

It definitely gets two thumbs up from this hombre! 👍👍

Watched it over the weekend, it’s at least an hour too long.

De Niro, goes into full Rage Cage with the overacting and it’s a bit muddled too tbh.

They could’ve easily condensed the first two hours into one.

If you’re gonna go for a long one, go for Oppenheimer ( if you haven‘t seen it )

A much much better film.

The Holdovers - great film with small but excellent cast. Giamatti is superb from start to finish.

A solid little film.

Past Lives - A sliding doors movie about two friends/first loves from Korea. Girl goes to New York as a kid and boy tries to reconnect years later.

Got rave reviews and Oscar noms but I was bored by how bland and dull all the actors are.
