He was on that list before the McConaissance began. Starting with Sunshine, Chris Evans is awesome in that movie. I liked Snowpiercer a lot but I think I'll enjoy it more on a rewatch.snowpiercer, well worth a watch, chris evans is joining the matthew mcconaughey list of 'used to be a bell, but is turning out decent'

Saw the Theory of Everything yesterday. T'was a good movie, with impressive performances. I wonder if they put some prosthetic on Redmayne or something to make him posture like that.. Anyway, to think that when they yell cut he probably just stood up and banged some chicks in his trailer in between takes haha
yeah it was sunshine that turned me around as well, I actually haven't even read much about the theory of everything, the trailer looks like it might be a bit of a sycophantic piece, which while understandable would be a little less interesting, I'll give it a go thoughHe was on that list before the McConaissance began. When was he ever a bell? Love Evans, he's quality: Not Another Teen Movie, Fan 4, Scott Pilgrim etc etc...

I think most biopic's are usually one sided, and he is quite incredible so fair enough really, I think he brendan rodger'd his missus but not too sure on the details, and it doesn't usually make them any less watchable, I can't think of too many that cast the subject in a poor light, 'bunker' being an obvious one, and that tommy lee jones one 'cobb'.Sunshine is one of my favorite films, absolutely awesome.
It's got some of the typical biopic stuff but I didn't actually know much about Hawking except for him being a genius and some of his work. It gets more into his personal life and that stuff and gives what I imagine is a fair representation of his wife's struggles. Anyhow, the performances are really good and worth seeing. At this point I'd be surprised if Redmayne doesn't win the Oscar, although I don't remember who he's up against right now. Still, those old cats in Hollywood love a biopic period film.
The movie casts some light on that particular situation, somewhat favorably for Hawking. I assume that's how things unfolded in real life too so it seems fairly amicable and fair for all parties.I think most biopic's are usually one sided, and he is quite incredible so fair enough really, I think he brendan rodger'd his missus but not too sure on the details, and it doesn't usually make them any less watchable, I can't think of too many that cast the subject in a poor light, 'bunker' being an obvious one, and that tommy lee jones one 'cobb'.
Sunshine was very good, great to see danny boyle getting a big budjet to work with and still not losing what made him great in teh first place, it also introduced me to John Murphy's music

John Murphy is the man. From Liverpool as well.
You kidding? When he takes home the Oscar it'll be all the rave, all over the place lol Jones is in the new Star Wars I believe so she'll be in the spotlight for a while yet.Found The Theory of Everything so mundane, couldn't finish it. Looking forward to not having to hear about Redmayne and Jones for a while, too.
