Last Film You Watched

saw the first 50 min. Of the hateful eight. Most boring movie ive seen for a long time.

Its the same all the way through and no real twist at all.....obvious ending and boring nonsense + a gay scene which wss not funny at all.

We were all bored and shocked at how bad it was.

For me, i liked it. Does what it says on the tin. Girlfriend and her brother and his gf also liked it too.

Just a solid action movie with limited plot.
Each to their own I suppose

Thinking about the new point break movie

it's got rotten reviews have you seen it per chance mate?

I thought it was ok

typical Tarantino move though, too much dialogue and lots of blood

Yeah dreadful.

without spoiling it...story is revealed at the start...the criminals want to complete different ultimate sports type challenges to become one with nature of something.so already off base...the main actor is dreadful and theres no tension between the actors like the original.

now i took my gf to see it and bigged up the original...after 15mins i kept getting stares off her as it was pretty bad and she couldnt fathom why i would like such a movie.

i watched the original after with her and for ages she wasnt impressed as she was tainted by the sequel but at the end said she couldnt see how the sequel was any way linked to the original.

4/10 for me.

Well that settles it then

I'm not going to bother, not heard a good word for it

Whole stagecoach thing was pretty drawnout and pointless and unfunny + the beating of the woman and dialogue was far too slow.

inside i just wonder why anyone would order sweets before they cause fhem to be dropped on the floor...also samuel l jackson gay scene was not funny at all and neither was anything else for me either

blood was meant for comedy value i guess but nothing like teservoir dogs at all in the sense of realism so just looked like a uni grad had made a western with schoolmates to copy tarentinos style

2/10 for me

I didnt like deadpool either tbh and watched with gf and 2 others who wanted to walk out. The rest were people laughing at every sentence which was odd as we laughed once only.

However thats based on a comic book whilst point break was a classic. Cant believe how badly they made it

My missus hated it too,the gay scene was as you say tasteless and pointless

Whats the general plot?

girl goes to nyc from ireland? Meets a guy? Back to ieland and then gets married?

just a guess based on imdb...doesnt sound too appealing?
Depends on whether you like that kind of film: old-style Hollywood with no particular message or people blowing things up. We really enjoyed it and thought Saoirse Ronan was excellent. Probably helped that it had a bit of "lure of the unexplored/tug of the homeland" theme to it which might appeal to people living outside their own country.

just saw Horns. I liked it. a bit different than most movies. A bit silly at times, but still liked it.
I like movies that are a bit strange/fascinating. Like Horns, The Lobster, Intruders, The Butterfly effect, Pans labyrinth, edward scissorhands, alice in wonderland, district 9, tomorrowland. Anyone got any suggestions for other movies like this that are good?
