Last Film You Watched




Watched that myself and then caught the end of Operation Daybreak (the retelling of Operation Anthropoid - the killing of Heydrich).
Both great movies, spent a lot of time when I was in the army in Rjukan the area of Norway where the hydro plant is. Met one of the original telemark hereos, he owned the hotel we stayed in in the ski resort.

Indeed they are! It's easy to forget how many good WWII movies there are out there and how they were often based on amazing, heroic acts.

Hope you gave him a good handshake and a big thank you; so many selfless acts from people during the war which shouldn't be forgotten.

I went to the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius where Gabćìk and Kubiś held out for as long as they could. Very poignant place.

He was a very polite and humble man, the hotel he owned was a gift from the Norwegian government to him for his help in WW2.

Easter and Xmas are always a time when you will see some of the classics on TV.
