Last Film You Watched

Watched Les Miserables with the wife and kids last night.

Was excellent, even for the full 3 hours. Chuffed my kids stuck with it too.

I don't do the other type of musicals (jazz hand crap) but these "sung-word" types are very good. The film musical of Sweeney Todd is also very good.

Finally got around to watching Blade Runner and I was a little disappointed. Stylistically it's incredible, but I thought the story was a bit flat. Also don't get the whole debate over the ending, I had an incline that was going to be the case from the very start.

Dare I say it - slightly overrated film.

This won't go down wel mate. But dare I say, I agree a bit.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching it and thought it was so well shot. It was just a bit mumbo jumbo at the start and only really took off after an hour in.

Saying that, I do plan on watching again cause there are many films that took me a second watch to appreciate it truly.

Depends on what you look for in films really, for a decent amount of the films I enjoy, the actual plot is not high up on what I look for. The style and atmosphere is much more important to me. Blade Runner certainly has that.

Much of the debate around the ending is down to the different release versions...

The cobbler. Adam Sandler film that he hasn't made himself.

Its watchable. Nice idea of a story that doesn't really stretch as far as it could, but of a set piece type film that doesn't know where to go with it.

6/10

Went to see Obecna Skola last night. It was the 80th birthday of the director so it was being shown in 80 locations around the world to mark it. The director led a sing-a-long at the start and everything. Great stuff :)

I keep watching Groundhog Day over and over

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

It's a masterpiece, apart from the hairstyles, it hasn't dated one tiny bit. Everything in it blends seamlessly together, right down to the soundtrack, which compliments every particular scene it was written for. Watch it again and see if you still feel the same.
