Last Film You Watched

I watched the amateur on Saturday night

I quite enjoyed it tbh. Rami Malek plays this supper intelligent decoder who has a 170 iq and he uses this to his advantage in order to try and track down the people who killed his wife

It’s like a pick n mix combination of taken, the bourne identity and James Bond

Overall it was a decent watch

7/10 for me

Saw it at the weekend too, did you not think it was about 20 mins too long ?

Imo, they could’ve chopped a lot of the first part of the film out and it wouldn’t have made any difference ?

it was a little bit long, but i don't mind a long film if its gripping an engaging as normally that time would fly anyway

there was an occasion where i was counting down how many people he had left to track and i was like 'ah yeah he's halfway through' or 'he's at the last guy now so the film will probably end soon'.

Watched Robocop absolutely phenomenal
This is all your fault, so, you know, here we are.

So Verhoeven's offering is chock full of very dark laughs, to the point of parody, it turns out it got an academy award for best sound editing. Here we go.

This delightful little scene is problematic and humorous in equal measure. Just to be a film nerd for a moment the 209 presents us with a problem, how did it know the gun was pointed at it? then how did it know who to target even when the gun was dropped? 'glitch' my rear end! Anyway, to the sound.
1:40 why does a gunship on legs with no obvious eyes have the roar of a leopard?
2:16 I call theft here, this is a clear robbery, when the 209 gets the plug pulled and charges down there is a sound. Is it familiar? It is isn't it. The Hyperdrive aint working, remember, a certain Millennium Falcon? Listen again.
Found it 2:04 here

Well that link explains it beautifully at 2:25 - new ground, everyday a learning day.

'Fall' 2022
BBC1 @ 10:30pm

A few options here, probably abandoned engineering, into HIGNFY, second half gogglebox, first half on +1, then 'Fall'. Don't like missing Aliens but could probably do a one man show recital by now.

Fall was surprisingly good and I genuinely never saw the end coming.

Saw it on the cinema and it freaked me right out - terrified of heights 😂

"Salems lot(2024), a film that contains more wood than the Amazon rain forest, characters that you really don't give a shiny [Poor language removed] about, after 20 minutes you realise that you have sub consciously made little stakes to stick in your eyeballs, a film that proves there is no God, no superior entity would allow suffering like watching this film
