What exactly did it say then?

I wasn't present at the reading. But from what I heard from someone who was there. It was a letter thanking them all at the club (from the bottom to the top) for their work because he constantly gets told by other clubs that Everton is the best place to visit and he was just thanking them for creating that because he couldn't go for the last while to thank them in person. Then he signed it off with "Goodbye, Blue Bill", and that's what people are going mental about.
