Got to think that as an Everton fan he will at least have some of the fan's and club's interests in mind rather than trying to get as higher profit as possible. Got to question his judgement at times though
You'd think so would n't you, he's held on this long the least he can do is make sure it's sold to the right people, but with Kenwright, anything is possible.

If we're bidding quite big sums on players surely the potential takeover (perfuming it's still on) cannot be that close.

Not keen on a Chinese consortium.

If you think that the ownership has a lack of accountability now, if we have a Chinese consortium accountability will go completely out of the window.

What frightens me the most is that at the moment, I am genuinely struggling to care! Potential new signings i have never heard of? meh!
Rumoured no mark owners who may or may not be bidding for the club? Meh! Whatever happens, i hope the board post Kenwright, works to a strtegy, look beyond the current fiscal year and, most of all, inform us of what that strategy is! No matter how far fetched or even uninspiring that strategy might be, it will at least show us what we can expect going forward! It is becoming so tiring following all this, it really is! Maybe i need to look in on Groucho's depression thread :(

The Chinese never extradite their nationals and accessing the legal system in China is problematic at best. So if there was any legal issues in regards to the running of the club it would become very complicated.

At least with the Americans there would be more transparency and they would be subject to our (UK) legal system.

Like I said earlier. We need any prospective new owners to indicate how they will be 'Responsible Owners' and outline their business plan.

My focus is for the Stadium developments as a priority.

Other posters have other priorities.

A responsible owner will address all areas of the business and ensure the financial health of the club.

Loading the club with liabilities through holding companies (to extract interest and management fees: see Man United and Aston Villa) and distracting the fanbase with lots of signings making it look like everything is healthy (this happened at Aston Villa) is NOT what I want to see.

Big picture. We need to increase revenues.

I say stadium. Others say signings.

We need both (with a balancing act). Ideally through increased revenues (e.g. commercial not just TV revenues).

Whilst I understand your point, there is no accountability anywhere in football, certainly in the UK.

That is changing more so due to the government getting involved, FFP and the new premier league rules.

But if you see my just prior post. My goals and your goals are pretty similar. Implementation is slightly different.

Responsible owners will seek to increase revenue to fund player acquisitions.

How much interest did Randy Lerner "extract in fees" ?

how much on loans has he written off ?

Unless it is surplus?

Not too sure how it all works mind you but if the board had x million in free cash that is technically available for transfer funds then it would.make sense for them to use it now rather than the money getting lost in the transition of ownership.

I hope so anyway
