You think we'll ever get those answers you seek mate?

If there's just a change of majority shareholders (which to be honest the share price suggests to be most likely) then the remaining shareholders must call an EGM - I will help gain the support and question exactly what is the benefit for the club in just changing shareholders but there being no additional capital put into a business that desperately needs it in order to (i) remain in current position or (ii) have any hope of improving its competitive position on the pitch.

Does anyone believe Kenwright would sell to these two if he was in good health?
I personally don't believe he would. Moores and Noell see a opportunity to cream off some of this TV money and Everton are the perfect vehicle for them to achieve this. The timing could not be better for both of them.
I personally have a feeling of dread now about this takeover. No capital reinvested into the team, stadium or the commercial side. This is my gut feeling.

I think he's in good enough health to flog us off to the "right" buyer. Not just one who's turned up at the right time.

And don't forget...Woods and Earl have to agree...assuming they're all selling up too.

This has been my fear from day 1.

Question mate if I may.

The sum of 200m being banded about? Reading what you have written here, would that be covering the purchase of the shares of the majority shareholders and the clearing of any debt on the club?

It seems more than likely (but to be confirmed) that the £200 million "takeover" is just for the acquisition of shares from the 3 major shareholders. It has nothing to do with the debt of the club.

This being true all we have achieved is changes in the share register and a new board. The balance sheet remains as is.

*corrected. Wrong currency!

I see, interesting.

Can't imagine anybody investing 200m capital into something though in an expanding market and not wanting to make it work.

Cue forward 12 months, Barkley, Lukaku and Stones gone for 140m and the TV money being siphoned off for the next 5 years.....Everton that! :)

Yes, similar to now but, it can get worse.

Possibly so, but it could get better. We still don't know much at the moment and I think we sometimes associate change with fear.

Let's wait and see, for all we know one of these Chinese groups is launching a counter offer. I'm sure Bill will want the best deal for Everton, it's the other two who might be more concerned about the cash.

Do you mean multiple people buying/holding the shares? And that's there buy out?
If that's how they do it in a very secretive and snidy way imho they can do one as we've all had gut fulls of that crap already.
