It has to be off at least twice before it's on

Trivia: Other than Fulham, Everton have signed and played more Americans than other team to be a part of the top flight. Let that sink in.
well i suppose that explains why we never win anything
A thread that could almost rival the Transfer Thread for conjecture, but with only a fraction of the amusement.
Take a bow, gentlemen.
Sidenote: I actually don't think investing in a stadium in the next 2-3 years is the best way to make money for EFC. Long-term yes we need a new stadium but you don't stop player investment at a time when you have your best squad in 30 years and a squad which the extra 5-10m p/a from a new stadium would be utterly helpless at recreating 10 years from now.
League finish and CL is worth vastly more than a new stadium. If we didn't have a bunch of 50m 20 year olds running around Finch Farm then sure we can do an Arsenal (only for us it would be a target of 17+ rather than 4+) and cut back on spending while we build the stadium.
At this specific time I doubt they could do anything to increase revenue that would be as effective as buying us our missing pieces and keeping this current team together. I just hope they can see that and don't just get blinded by a new fun project and start working on infrastructure right away. Oh and I also hope they aren't leveraging carpetbaggers too I guess but apparently pointing out the most likely outcome of this takeover is frowned upon.
Needs more...
... because there is literally nothing to leverage debt against
We currently borrow against future revenues. I'm no financial expert, but the main concern I have about any future owners is that they might either continue to do that, or even expand that model. I stress the word might, because I don't think they'll actually do that, but until we see their plans we don't know, so I'm keeping an open mind on the situation.
I'm all for keeping an open mind and even sitting on the fence, but the idea these fella are going to spend £200m, then do absolutely nothing, pocket loads of money and essentially run the club into the ground whilst not solving the stadium problem and seeing the club decline until it loses it's Premier League status is quite frankly ludicrous.
Not sure anyone thinks that will happen. More an air of "what if" I reckon.
Whatever happens, I think we should speak as we find - just because Liverpool and Man U have US owners doesn't mean our potential owners will be the same.'American owner = automatically evil, because of LFC/MUFC'.
