While it could possibly have been worded differently, I personally dont see anything "incorrect" in what was said, to be honest.
"Lining his pockets so he can sort his family out". What sort of low-life would pass comments like that about a man with serious health problems?
"He wont do whats best for this club, Just like he hasn't for over a decade". On what grounds can such conjecture be portrayed as fact.
"Parasite" Gratuitous name-calling.

Done nothing??? Really? He might not have been able to plough millions into the club - but nobody has or has been willing to! He has given what he can including countless hours of his time backing managers, keeping players when under pressure to sell, making good manager appointments, rewarding players and engendering loyalty fro the likes of Baines, Jags , Cahill etc who could all have left us for 'bigger' clubs. Prices kept as affordable to fans as they can be - compare what we pay to those across the park!
Sadly it will be when Bill has gone that one or two people might have a good word to say for him. But if you believe that he doesn't look out for the club and is only looking out for himself that's up to you. Didn't see too many likes for your original post so don't think many agree with you.

So he renewed contracts, Hired managers and put in 12 hour days

Priceless

I was reading another forum , totally non football , and an Everton shareholder on it has basically said Walton Hall Park is history ....but he is bound by confidentiality so didn't go any further , makes me think talks must be very advanced as regards the takeover !

Whether the takeover goes through or not it has been pretty apparent since the AGM when Joe Anderson called out the fact that we don't have anything in the way of a plan before the council. The council isn't going to sit on it for us forever and it didn't seem like we had been moving things along.

For ordinary business at a General meeting of the company 50% +1 vote is enough to carry the day. However in the UK certain business has to be passed by "special resolution" which under the Companies Act requires 75% majority. Examples would be changing company name, amendment of Articles of Association, change of pre-emption rights, a reduction in share capital or a change in the company status (for example to go from a private company to a PLC).

In addition as stated earlier, if you have the agreement of 75% or more of the shareholders to acquire their shares, you can prior to acquisition apply to the High Court to acquire the shares of the remaining shareholders.

This is the reason why Bill with 25.7% controls the club, without his say, an effective takeover cannot occur.
Thanks for that info Mr Esk, wasn't sure how BK could control the club with only 25.7% of shares but that makes it crystal clear.

(3)Or do you mean, where does he get the capital to run the team from year to year? With the Padres, the organization never drew a line of capital through debt (Moores was the lead author to install a rule called the "Debt Service Rule" across baseball to prevent teams from borrowing money to pay down operational debt kind of like what the Glaziers are doing with Man United), it was sustained through the organization's revenue streams (Moore's management team just did a better job of increasing revenues through increased attendance, television, and sponsorship deals - also having a new stadium was a great boost).

This makes me hopeful, however unreasonable it may be for me to be hopeful

Yeah OK. They would know wouldn't they ??????

If the takeover happens it'll be a bit like when Moyes left for me. You're not sure what the hell is going to happen next but you're willing to gamble that it'll be better than what's happened before.

Wouldn't surprise me at all, I counted it as failed after the AGM when they tried to pin the slow progress on the council and Joe Anderson called them out about it. That's not something that shareholders in general know though, he must know someone in the club or something.
