The whole thing is panning out exactly how I thought.

Initial burst from the Echo getting everyone excited about an early completion
Now, stories extending of the process coming in which will no doubt go on through the season ticket buying process.

I thought Greg Okeefe looked sheepish during his strange video report on the Echo site.

Oh dear! its not looking good based on the quotes from Martinez in the Mirror,

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/roberto-martinez-believes-evertons-potential-7354559

Also he is saying he thinks Kenwright should be involved with Everton, even after any potential sale goes through.

I cant see that myself, I could see him sitting in a box on match days, but not in a official capacity with the club. The new owners tend to bring their own people in.

What process has been extended though?

They had until the end of January to exclusively look at the books and that, doesn't mean after that time it will immediately be announced.

Does the price we are sold for really matter though in this case? Good for the current owners as they get more of course, but don't think it really matters to us lot.

Think the price does matter, the more thats paid for us, you'd think the tighter the purse strings will be afterwards, for us as fans the lower the price the better

Nothing has been announced remember. The only guage we can get of the situation is what Everton FC drip feed to the press

The more in the better. Ups the price, and you'd hope they pick the best for our future, not just their pockets.

Errrm, how exactly does the owners getting a lot more for their shares benefit us as fans mate, all it means is that whoever buys us has ended up paying more than they had to to get the club, possibly meaning they reduce financial input to recoup that extra cost

maybe he is a shareholder and is looking after his own concern ?!

also the less money made by the current board the better, should be minimally rewarded for investing sweet fa over the years.

I think you will find I was the only one a few posts up that said I wouldn't have a problem with Bill staying...for all those reasons you have quoted.
It was not aimed at you in person, it was following the conversation, I should have just posted it instead of a reply to yourself.

Mate, really? I can guarantee you, no one has ever bought a ST on the back of a takeover rumour.

Oh more than that mate, i want Kenwright to finally live up to one of his 'promises' or sound-bites, he has stated more than once he has never made a penny out of the club and never would do when he eventually found the next 'custodian' for us, so go on Bill, take exactly what you invested originally and then all that extra money that will come with the take over, give it back to the club in some way, buy FF back and give it back to the supporters, donate everything to the Everton charity, or do what we all know you will do and take the huge profit and get your firends in the media to conveniently forget all thosep promises about not being in it to make money
