I think they are paper billionaires, as in taking into account everything they own etc etc.. actual money in the bank is a lot less, meaning they cant just throw £500m at a stadium, probably have to find investment/loans, same as the current regime really.

Do you really think there are billionaires out there who just have all of their money sitting in a bank account somewhere? Every billionaire is a "paper billionaire".

A couple of things re: this latest weary conspiracy theory

1. Who renews their season ticket solely on the basis of a takeover rumour? People base their renewals decision on the football mate.

2. If this is all some sort of elaborate hoax, then what's in it for the 2 named Americans who have spent a large wedge of cash on due diligence to this point? Or are you suggesting that's a lie as well like?

Disagree new stadium is vital for growth makes us a more attractive options for sponsors and corporate hospitality might only be directly responsible for a growth of 20m per year but it opens up a lot of potential new revenue streams which we are sadly lacking

Even more fundamentally, the stadium is where the matches are played. It's the foundation of what happens moving forward.

According to some on here Bill Kenwright is more devious and corrupt than Arthur Conan Doyle could have ever imagined for Professor Moriarty.

I believe it's more a case of BK bit of more than he could chew.
Would we not have been better of with Gregg and the King's Dock stadium all them years ago than these prospective new buyers?
BK has gone full circle and we're hoping for the same thing.
