You do know he didn't run off with TV mney at all, the 200m figure that fan of them blogged about was actually the increase in price from when he failed to sell a few years earlier to when he eventually did sell the club - but as a new tv revenue deal by then had come in effect - then the blogger states it as being 200m of the tv revenue - which really illustrates what a utter nob that blogger is.

you think he is a carpet bagger then i presume, maybe try checking out what he has done as far as donations to charity over the years, also put what happened at the padres into proper perspective, pre divorce he was an absolute godsend for them - only after did they turn against him

As far as the success of the padres is concerned - put it into perspective yet again compared to what they had done prior to him ever owning them

You're talking about an extra 200 million when compared to his failed attempt to sell the Padres to someone who was trying to buy the Padres with leveraged finance, but failed to do so because the league admin prevented the sale because the person in question was considered too dodgy to own a baseball club, aren't you?

The 'success' of the Padres seems far more comparable to a club like Tranmere having their most successful period in their history after making it into the Division One playoffs (remember who oversaw that), and should not be compared to what will be required in order to overcome the likes of Spurs or Liverpool in the Premier League, imo. He also had the Padres finish bottom of the mini-league on numerous occasions, but it did not matter because it's a league that has no relegation, which shows you just how different it is to 'soccer'.

Fair enough, it seems the eventual sale of the Padres did not deprive the Padres of said 200 million, and I'm aware of his LIPA-esque Higher Education donations that took place years ago, in institutions close to his heart, when he was still with his ex-wife. And if it can be shown that his investment in the Padres was substantial, and not funded with debt, then I'll happily consider changing my mind back to being in favour of his takeover, after all I just want what is best for Everton. However I currently remain against this takeover, especially when the consortium lead was the head of an organisation that was charged with millions of pounds worth of fraud at the turn of the century.

What organization was that? I don't think I've heard of this.

I hope so mate. Hopefully there will be a few others and Bill can pick the best one for the club. I don't feel comfortable with these American ones.

His german team is not doing so well right now. We need someone with experience in deliving a new staduim.

bit on toffeeweb linking him
It's a case of people hoping to put two and two together, we're on the market and seem to be generating some interest, this guy has just said he's wanting to invest in an English football club. If he's genuinely wanting to buy a football club he will at least look at us.

However no one reputable have even put this guy in the same sentence as us.
